Sr. Susannah (susannah.kelly2@mail.mcgill.ca) will be leading a contingent from Newman to participate in the 40 days for life like last year. We will go one afternoon a week 3-4 PM. Let Sister know your schedules if you are interested.

Our Marquee event: The Newman Ball is coming up! This year it will be on Saturday, March 20th. Tickets in advance will be $18, $20 at the door.

Right now we are in need of volunteers to help us with set-up, Tickets, Coat Check, Bartending, Serving, and clean up. (Its really easy!) Contact Shannon Wylie (socialactivities@mcgillnewmanstudents.ca) for info! Helpers will get tickets for $15.

This weekend and next weekend there will be no SNS.

Saturday February 27 there will be no mass.

Looking for a place to live next year? Interested in community living at the Newman Centre? If you are, please contact Nathan Gibbard (nathan.gibbard@mail.mcgill.ca) for more information. If you are interested in applying for the residence, please send a page stating why you would be interested in living at the Newman Centre. Deadline for applications is February 19th.

For those interested in learning more about the Theology of the Body we will be going through Pope JP2's writings on Marriage, Sexuality, the Trinity, and how we image God precisely in our masculinity and femininity. It's a positive and dynamic teaching on a charged and often controversial subject. We'll be meeting Friday afternoons 2:30 at Newman Starting February 12th. Contact Sr Susannah (Susannah.kelly2@mail.mcgill.ca) with questions etc

The next Fireside Chat will be this Thursday, February 18th from 6:30 pm to 8:00. We will be discussing the western view of Catholisim versus the world. Kind of like the NHL All Star Game, but we would get the Nicklas Lidström. In seriousness, how does western culture shape our view on Catholicism? Find out Thursday!

Interested in giving back to the Montreal Community? then consider helping us out for Labor house! We will be doing this event March 7th. Contact Andrea D'Mello (andrea.dmello@mail.mcgill.ca) for more info.

In the spirit of the Olympics, I have an Olympic question for you: There are only 3 cities to repeat as hosts in the Winter Olympic games. After Sunday mass, if you come up to me (Sean Grogan) and tell me two of the three cities, you will get a timbit. Tell me all three, and you'll get two timbits! :)
